33 Things You Should Know Before Dating Me
Earlier this week I read a Thought Catalog article called “33 Things You Should Know Before Dating Me”. I was inspired to write my own list. As was my co-worker Alex. You can read her list of 31 here. It surprised me how quickly I came up with my 33. I told my boyfriend when I was done that I had written this and he laughed and he said “#1: I’m a badass bitch”. That one managed to slip off my list, but here are the 33 I came up with:

My Kids Will Have a Horrible Childhood
As
I sit and type this blog, I have my iPhone sitting in my lap and my
browser open with 8 tabs all consisting of social media. I can’t help
but reflect back to my childhood days before the Internets was a real
thing. Or just some rumor floating about that I couldn’t understand.
Life was simple back then and it was those simple things that I enjoyed
and those moments that I will never forget. Kids these days, or even
worse, MY kids 10 years from now, will never be able to experience these
joys.

INFOGRAPHIC: The ROI of Facebook and Twitter Advertising
As lovers of social media and for those in the industry, one thing you hear quite often is "what's the ROI?" Facts are, in social media it used to be hard to determine ROI and even now after the industry has evolved so much, people still fall back on that excuse. Now that social media has grown a little into a professional industry, determining ROI comes with the territory. Below is an infographic brought to us by the InventHelp marketing team. Take a look to see social media results!

Epic Movie Quotes: Anchorman
In honor of the impending sequel, this week we are taking a look at Anchorman. I love this movie. It is funny, and ridiculous, and reminds us that Will Ferrell was funny once upon a time. While there were many quotes to choose from, I chose one from one of my favorite actors, Paul Rudd. As a BONUS I also added the Anchorman 2 teaser at the bottom the post. Check it out!

HOW TO: Make A Viral Video
This was originally posted on Likeable Media's blog.
One question I hear over and over again in the social media industry is, "how do I make a viral video?" As defined by a reliable source (Wikipedia), "a viral video is one that becomes popular through the process of Internet sharing, typically through video sharing websites, social media, and email. Well that sounds easy! I have done some serious research on this topic and have found a fool proof formula to making a "viral video." Behold the mysteries of the Internet!

Boost Your Confidence With 'Maury'
This post is written by guest blogger Nicole Denkberg.
Everybody has those moments where they find themselves gazing upon
something so horrible that they become entranced. Not only are they unable to
look away, but they keep coming back for more. This is me with Maury.

Epic Movie Quotes: The 40 Year Old Virgin
Once again we have a movie that is chock-full-o movie quotes. It is hard to pick just one! I decided to go with the most politically incorrect conversation in movie history. Not because I am prejudice... because it's funny. Take a look at this quote from The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Trailer: Disney's Wreck-It Ralph!
I often get excited about movies coming up but I am particularly psyched for this one. Wreck-It Ralph is one of Disney's many animated movies coming out this year. It stars John C. Reilly where he plays the bad guy in a video arcade game. Apparently, being the bad guy doesn't mean you're a bad guy. See what I mean below!

Dawson's Creek Disappointment
As
a child I was forbidden to watch Dawson’s Creek. As a 9 year old, this
was pretty much one of the most traumatic things I went through because
ALL my friends at school watched and I was totally left out of all
conversations. A few weeks ago I was informed Dawson’s Creek would be on
Netflix instant play. I just had to watch the entire series. I mean,
come on, I owed it to 9 year old Shari to do so.

6 Ways To Grow Your Social Community
This was originally posted on Likeable Media's blog.
There is a lot of information out in the social media world that teaches you how to engage with your community, how to activate your community, and even how to appreciate your community. While this is all extremely valuable information, it seems to be skipping a step when thinking about your social community. Before you begin response guidelines and brand ambassador programs you need to foster and grow a community.

Epic Movie Quotes: Office Space
It's Monday again which means that it is "Epic Movie Quote" day. It also means that the weekend is over, you have to go back to work/school, and there are 5 more days until you're free again. Boy that sounds depressing. Maybe I've got a case of the Mondays! Hopefully you know what quote we are highlighting today... Enjoy!

The Downward Spiral of Smash and 2 Broke Girls
It is always exciting when you start a brand new show and it turns out to be really awesome. When your Tivo is as packed as mine, you have to pick and choose your new shows wisely. This year I added a few new shows including 2 Broke Girls, Smash, New Girl, and Once Upon A Time. New Girl and Once Upon A Time have since earned permanent spots on my Tivo. However, the other 2 shows started off strong but then kind of went downhill...

'One Day' The Movie Versus 'One Day' The Book
I'm about to state the obvious; the book was better than the film. But isn't it always? This was pretty bad though. I really enjoyed the book and watching a relationship grow and change over 20 years. In the movie I felt rushed, anxious, and often confused. The story is about two people who have been in and out of each other's lives for the past 20 years. Every chapter records the same day of the next year. What a difference 20 years makes! I'll break down both for you and let you decide. Spoilers below!

Epic Movie Quotes: Ferris Bueller
Remember when people used to say "Earth to [insert name here]" whenever you felt the person you were speaking to wasn't paying attention to you? Well, that has been replaced by this week's epic movie quote. Whether your name is "Bueller" or not, this scene has become synonymous with zoning out. Enjoy!
