I love Halloween. I especially love stalking people's photos on Facebook after the fact. Whether the person is your best friend or not, for some reason I just need to know EVERYONE'S costume ideas! This year there were a lot of Black Swans, Pan Am Flight Attendants, and the ever popular policeman, firefighters, etc. What surprised me were the lack of Kate Middletons and other pop culture references from this year. This year it snowed which made it difficult to go out. However I still managed to at least get on a costume. This year I was...

Hey 90's Kids! Does This Look Familiar?
Yes I know, we all love our 90's Nickelodeon. Nothing is better than a throwback on television like Clarissa Explains It All or wearing a cool Reptar t-shirt. But what happens when 90's Nick crosses over into the world of high fashion??? You get this:

All Seven Seasons Of Boy Meets World Now Available On DVD!
Our lives are complete. As of last week, all seven seasons of Boy Meets World are now available on DVD. This has been a long time coming. They have been releasing seasons one by one with 6 month intervals. For those of you who have extensive DVD collections (like myself), this is a must-add to the collection. When you think of shows from your childhood that stand out, one of the shows I think of is this one. The Cory and Topanga relationship will forever be my reference for a long lasting relationship. Shawn Hunter is the resident badass and my dream man. Feeny is the smartest man alive and Eric is the perfect example of what NOT to be. Hats off to Boy Meets World! You will soon be among my DVD collection?

Take Time To: Catch Up On Your Tivo!
We are about halfway into the fall television season and it is right about now where I get backed up on my show. That's why this week you should take time to catch up on your Tivo! There are a couple shows I taped but have yet to watch at all. One of these included 2 Broke Girls. I was finally able to watch a couple of episodes and I seriously love it! It is nice to find a good show to add to the roster, and this one definitely makes the cut. I can't wait to catch up on the whole season thus far!

BOO! Spooky Social Media Tactics That May Scare Away Business
Originally posted on Likeable Media's blog.
Now is the time of year where kids tell spooky stories, dress up like monsters, and enjoy all things scary! While this may be fun for kids, it is not the most fun for businesses. Everyone in the business world has heard horror stories of companies not using social media correctly. If you want to avoid scaring away business, try not to avoid these spooky business tactics often seen in social media:

Movie Review: 50/50 Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt
First things first- You should know there is a happy ending. Anyone who had hesitations about seeing this movie because it might be depressing now has no excuse! I'm also not really ruining anything for you because the movie was inspired by the life of the guy who wrote the movie... and he's still around so that has to tell you something! Overall, I recommend seeing this movie. Here are some reasons why:

Take Time To: Get Yourself A Halloween Costume
AHHH!!! Halloween is around the corner and you don't have anything to wear! Sure, you could always grab a belt and be Quailman but I'm sorry boys... it's been done! And ladies, you don't want to be that girl who just slapped on a pair of bunny ears to your slutty black outfit, do you? Now's the time to think of something cute and witty (and low budget) to be this year. And IMHO, don't get a costume from Party City because I guarantee you will bump into 12 other police officers and race car drivers while you are out. You don't want to be wearing the same costume as someone else! I have not yet decided on what I will be but here are some cute costumes I found that seem to be pretty low budget and some of my past costumes too!

TV Review: The Season (Or Series?) Finale of Weeds
For those of you who still watch Weeds past the point of the maternity shop that acted as a drug tunnel into Mexico, congratulations. Way to stick by a show that has seriously jumped the shark. For those of you who still watch Weeds past the point where Nancy gets pregnant with the Mexican druglord/politician's baby, congrats again. That is just straight loyalty since the show has gone so far off the deep end it is hard to rebound. I am one of those people who have been watching Weeds from the beginning and have stuck by through the think, thin, and utterly ridiculous. A show that started about a local drug-dealing mom has taken a life of its own and its life may be over...

Take Time To: Remember Steve Jobs
I was extremely sad when I found out that Steve Jobs passed away this week. As a person, he may not have had the best reputation but nobody would deny that he was a visionary. Besides making Apple the powerhouse it is today, he also transformed another company that touches my heart- Pixar. I was in the city this weekend and walked past an Apple Store on 5th Avenue when I almost cried. There were over 1,000 post-its stuck to the wall of the store with people leaving notes about Jobs. There were also tons of flowers left at the store as well. This isn't the first Apple store to become a memorial for Jobs and it is well deserved.

Why You Should Read The Epic Series That Is 'The Hunger Games'
WOW. That is all I can say when I think of how amazing The Hunger Games was. All three books took me a mere week to read through. I have never chosen a book over a television show before, until now. I never sat and cried like a baby over a book, until now. Instead of gushing over the amazingness of this book, I will try to convince you to read it by giving you a brief overview of what it is about.

TV Review: Dexter Season Premiere
Our favorite serial killer is back and ready for action! Dexter aired last night on Showtime and did not disappoint. It's hard to believe that you can love a character who is a serial killer, but somehow you do! We left off last season with Dexter having it all, except for Julia Stiles, but we weren't sorry to see her go. Now Dexter has a clean slate and this season can go in any direction. Here are some of the highlights from last night's premiere.

Take Time To: Watch The Final Season Of Desperate Housewives
We are back to square one. "I know what you did. It makes me sick. I'm going to tell." The true fans of the show will know what I'm talking about. For those who don't, you will have to start at season 1 to fully understand what those words mean. It is sad to see the ladies of Wisteria Lane go but the show has really taken a turn for the ridiculous over the years. A hurricane, plane crash, dead body, etc. How much stuff can happen on one block?! So even though the show has become a little ridiculous, I am still caught up in the drama of each season. Plus, I want to see how it all ends! Try to catch up if you can!
