I'm a big television fan. I watch A LOT of shows and I am very picky about adding new ones to my roster. In fact, ever since my life became a mess of work/school, I have had to drop a lot of my favorite shows. Sorry Survivor, Real Housewives, The Amazing Race, and more... you just didn't make the cut! However, I am not close minded and I do want to allow new shows in my life.

Take Time To: Be Nice To Mother Nature
Apparently she is pissed off. Maybe not at everyone, but definitely at the east coast. First there was a random earthquake last week that shook from DC all the way up to Ohio. I felt the ground move and my building was evacuated. Pretty unexpected, but at least we got to hangout in Bryant Park for a little while. Then the east coast gets another little present... a hurricane. Hurricane Irene sweeps through and kicks our tushes. What's next?!? An apocalypse? Is this the rapture being fashionably late? Who knows. All I know is that you should stay inside, be safe, and the next time you think about littering, just remember that little thing called karma. If we are nice to mother nature maybe she will be nice to us.

The Nightmare Before Christmas... In Real Life
I've gone to the hospital twice. Once, was when I was born. The other time was when I was three and I stuck a pen cap up my nose. I apparently went to the emergency room and had it removed. Since I really don't remember it, I wasn't traumatized or anything. Today I got stitches. Since I haven't been to the hospital since I was three, this was a big deal to me. Have you had stitches?

Captain America May Be The First Avenger, But Is He The Best Avenger?
I finally saw Captain America: The First Avenger, the last of the movies leading up to The Avengers coming out in 2012. If I had to rate the film, I would give it three out of five stars. So far we have seen The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and now Captain America. I would say out of all the films leading up to the big 2012 flick, this one was my least favorite and here's why.

Take Time To: Act Like A Kid
My office isn't the typical work place, but we are working all the time. Every so often, you have been staring at your computer for so long that you just want to throw it across the room! The cool thing about my office is that we have hula hoops lying around. When I get to the point where I need a break, I sometimes enjoy playing with the hula hoops.

Why Do Villains Never Have A Nose?
That is a serious question. What is it about noses that bad guys don't like? Why do the Hollywood movie producers think that having no nose makes you scarier or less friendly looking? I have been noticing more and more that the villains in movies usually have no nose. It is not all the time but it is enough for me to start noticing a pattern... Don't believe me? See for yourself:

Can Foursquare Promotions Really Benefit Your Business?
Originally posted on Likeable Media's blog.
Foursquare has a lot to be proud of. In the last year the New York start-up grew 3400%. As of July, Foursquare announced that they reached 10 million users. While all of this sounds impressive it pales in comparison to the 750 million users on Facebook and the over 200 million users on Twitter. When looked at in this perspective, Foursquare is just a little fish in a giant ocean. Since you can only reach a small fraction of consumers on Foursquare compared to Facebook and Twitter, why should any business choose to invest in Foursquare?

Take Time To: Buy Yourself Something Pretty
My few weeks of freedom where I have no school are coming to end. Soon I will no longer have weekends to leisurely sleep in. What I also won't have anymore, is time to go shopping. I have gone a little crazy these past weeks buying everything I can get my hands on. Luckily/Unfortunately, I only have one more weekend to do that. It's time to hit up Macy's, Roosevelt Field, and even the outlets before it is too late! Buy yourself something nice this week. You deserve it!

Top 5 Courtroom Scenes In A Movie
Any movie buff knows there is nothing like courtroom drama. Some of the best scenes in any movie take place in the courtroom. I was browsing through the movie channels and, luckily for me, there were so many choices to choose from. The one thing I noticed was that all the great movies that were on had an amazing court room scene. Here's what I came up with as the top 5 courtroom scenes in the movies:

Get Well Soon Gavin Degraw
One of my favorite singers, Gavin Degraw, was attacked in downtown Manhattan yesterday. After spending the night drinking in the village, Degraw was attacked by a gang around 4AM. While stumbling away, Degraw then got hit by a cab. He is currently hospitalized with a broken nose and some cuts. Gavin was supposed to be on his way to Saratoga tonight to open for Train and Maroon 5. For a full article (which doesn't include many more details you can click here. Seeing as I am a huge fan (and a human being), I feel terrible for Gavin! Get well soon and please come back better than ever.

Take Time To: See A Romantic Comedy
You've seen one romantic comedy you've seen them all, right??? WRONG. Recently I have seen two romantic comedies, both of which were pretty good. Last week I saw Friends With Benefits starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. This week I saw Crazy, Stupid, Love with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling. Normally romantic comedies are pretty predictable and in a way. Let's face it... Every rom-com ends with the guy and the girl getting together. That is a fact that will never change. With that being said, the movie can still have some twists and turns that lead up to this predictable ending that are pretty entertaining.

Watch Out Drunk Texters! Here Comes A New Way To Embarrass Yourself
So you are out at a bar. You've had a few too many drinks. Then you look in your purse and see your phone. Normally, you would think, "Hey, maybe it isn't a good idea to use my phone when my mind is so free and I'm about to say things I will regret saying in the morning." Luckily, you're drunk and you don't really care. So you text some friends what you really think. Text your ex telling them how much you actually do miss them. Even send some tweets to the Twitterverse saying how much you hate your job and your boss. You then wake up the next morning and think, "F&^*%$^&*."
